Crispy Pork Belly Recipe

Ingredients: - 2 pounds pork belly, skin-on - 2 tablespoons salt - 1 tablespoon black pepper - 1 tablespoon garlic powder - 1 tablespoon paprika - 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).

2. Using a sharp knife, score the skin of the pork belly in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut through to the meat.

3. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

4. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork belly, making sure to thoroughly coat both the skin and meat.

5. Place the pork belly skin-side up on a wire rack set over a baking sheet. This will allow the heat to circulate around the pork and help the skin get extra crispy.

6. Drizzle the skin with olive oil and rub it in using your hands.

7. Roast the pork belly in the preheated oven for about 2-2.5 hours, or until the skin is crispy and the meat is tender.

8. If the skin is not crispy enough, you can turn on the broiler for the last 5-10 minutes of cooking, but be sure to keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.

9. Once cooked, remove the pork belly from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
